Area of Focus: Two forms of weight training: Strength (or power) weight training, which uses heavy weights and few repetitions (i.e., the number of times a weight is lifted or the muscle is contracted), and endurance weight training, which uses light to moderate weights with many repetitions.
Overview: (Provide purpose, student goal, and research supporting this project. Also include State Standards taught in this project.) Purpose: TSW engage in training and conditioning programs that develop the body to its fullest potential to meet the challenges of every day living. The workout will be designed to make students bigger, faster, and stronger by using the overload principle. In addition students as in the past, will work on improving their endurance through a program of aerobic exercise, such as agility drills, plyometrics, and running workouts.
