Help! We're Missing!
Next time you are going through old stuff, see if you don't happen to have some old Safford High School Yearbooks. The S.H.S. library archives the old yearbooks and we are missing some years: 1934, 1942, and anything published before 1933.
There are a few older copies that we have but are in poor condition--the ones from the 40's and 50's. If you should have any of these years and would like to donate them to our collection, we would be extremely appreciative.
A huge thanks to Ben Smith, SHS alumni, class of '69! He kindly donated a 1929 and a 1950 SHS yearbook, both of which he found for us on EBay. Thanks for helping us in our attempt to complete our collection!

ACADEMY CHANGES STARTING 2009/2010
Tuition: Due to budget cuts at the state and district levels the Academy Program will no longer be able to reimburse tuition and books starting next school year (2009-10). Students will still be able to take college classes through the Academy Program. The application procedures will be the same when declaring classes a student wants to claim for dual credit at the high school.
Books: The SHS Library has a reserve of college books. Students may still check out these for the classes next fall/spring. Book check out will be on a 1st come 1st serve basis when school starts in the fall. If we don’t have the book students must purchase their own book(s). Contact: Mary Wack if you have any questions about the changes or Academy Program.
